Today you will experience the Bushmen and Datoga Tribe in Lake Eyasi.
After a very early breakfast, you will depart at 8:00 AM and drive to Lake Eyasi for the Hadzabe and Datoga tribe tour, this will take up to 1 hour.
Hadzabe is one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes on Earth. Known for shunning material possessions and social hierarchy, the Hadzabe roam as needed to find game, tubers, and wild berries. Hunter-gatherer societies understand that their survival depends on natural resources.
The Hadzabe way of life closely resembles that of their ancestors thousands of years ago.
Insight into the nomadic lifestyle of these fascinating people, surviving in harsh conditions. This tribe lives in ways of bygone times, hunting with bows and arrows, as well as gathering plants.
These nomads interact closely with the Datoga people, another traditional tribe that still practices age-old traditions today.
The Datoga have been trading as blacksmiths for centuries and make the arrowheads used by the Hadzabe.
In the afternoon, you will drive back to the lodge for your hot lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

From December to May, depending on the rains, the plains of Ndutu are populated by huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, and antelope as they settle on the fertile grasslands to calve.
As is to be expected of nature, the predators come in droves, too, feasting on the vulnerable young. It's a smorgasbord of wildlife and the natural circle of life.
